Horoscopes for the Week of Dec. 7th – 13th

(Mosaic Artist – Lynn Adamo)

Venus is love and today she transits from the sign of Capricorn into the sign of Aquarius. The difference between Capricorn love and Aquarian love is stark. Capricorn seeks to limit, to commit, sometimes to punish, and to face challenges head-on. There is the expectation of having to work hard to keep love alive, but under control, for the long haul. Respect is essential.

Aquarius love is universal, brotherly, tolerant, and enlightened. It’s open hearted, open-ended, and spread around freely. A general love for the human race is expressed in a desire to elevate the masses through understanding, humanitarian service, and a forceful rejection of the notion that some people’s lives are more valuable than others. Venus in Aquarius sees all people as equally deserving of love and support. It is said that this Venus placement easily feels an outpouring of indiscriminate love and support for humanity – but tolerance and love for individuals isn’t always so easy. Venus in Aquarius can feel detached with the realm of personal one-one relationships. In my experience that seems pretty accurate.

Jupiter and Saturn move into an exact sextile aspect this week. During this time it is advisable to
work very hard to take advantage of every opportunity for growth and expansion that presents itself. This transit gives you the ability to put effort into building your life. It’s a pivotal time with lasting effects. What you do now will strengthen you for the inevitable crisis and harder times that lie ahead when Saturn and Jupiter form a square aspect. Now is the time to lay the groundwork for future freedom and stability.

Uranus and Ceres are traveling together (just 1 degree apart) while Mars and Saturn harmoniously support them. Ceres represents grain, food, nourishment, nurturing, and mothers. Your relationship with your mother and maybe your role as a mother is highlighted and possibly de-stabilized now. Uranus wants a breakthrough – something more enlightened, evolved, authentic, and free of old patterns. For progress to occur, the power of the ego may need to be purposefully diminished. It may be time to come to terms with your current role as a mother.

It may be time to resolve old issues with your own mother. Resistance to change can result in stomach problems, allergic reactions to food, eating disorders, malabsorption syndrome, etc. It’s time to take some disciplined, enlightened, action to free yourself of ineffective tendencies that undermine you and your health. Mars and Saturn are in your corner making it all easier than it might otherwise be.

Next Tuesday there is a full Moon at 22 degrees of Gemini. I will personalize an interpretation of its effects for each sign within this week’s horoscopes.

This will be my last horoscope publication until January 4th.

Thanks for reading. Have a great week and a wonderful holiday,

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
This week Aries enjoys and appreciates the love of friends, unusual allies cultivated over the years, group involvement, and alternative sources of support. Love and tolerance may be more freely exchanged this week. Group efforts meets with success. Actions taken break through old norms. Conversations may feel especially pivotal as they pave the way to greater freedom. In some way the quality of your future hangs in the balance. This full Moon in your 3rd house of communication encourages conversations that resurrect the past for the purpose of emotional healing. Siblings or neighbors may play integral roles in an old story that inflicted lasting wounds or destruction. It’s time to open your mind to the possibility of a better, more satisfying conclusion to your old story. Your mind is moving into a phase where thought and feeling coalesce into powerful influential forces aimed in any direction you choose. Your versatility, flexibility, wisdom, and tolerance shifts into high gear. You may tell the truth and finally have the chance to make your life your own.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
With Venus, your sign’s ruler, newly placed in the sign of Aquarius, you may feel an enlightened shift taking place. A break from past restrictions and limitations into a world of greater freedom – especially within the realm of relationships – opens up new possibilities. The impending full Moon puts the emphasis on joint efforts, specifically what you’re willing to contribute to achieve success in love. There is a grounding process taking place. You realize what your responsibility is and it’s not to convince another to compensate for your insecurity or immaturity. Your feet are being held to the fire as a rare opportunity for personal growth growth waits to be fully embraced. You must tell yourself the truth about yourself and make some decisions. Straddling the fence may no longer be an option. Your all in or your not. You’re willingness to make the effort to eliminate weakness frees you to love.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Gemini is in the midst of a deeply transformative phase. Specifically it looks like the destruction and rebirth of a mindset related to the nature of your relationships. What you expected may not be coming to pass. What you never anticipated may be unfolding before your eyes. Certainty is a tough commodity to come by these days – especially as you attempt to determine what your role should be. Venus’s move today into the sign of Aquarius makes things easier. She’s allowing you to envision a future where it’s ok to “draw outside the lines,” to be different, unique, individualized, to defy cultural norms, and to be especially accommodating of your need to be free to succeed. You don’t have to do things the same way everyone else does them. In love you can follow your heart instead of your head. Instead of berating yourself, you can befriend her. It’s tough at the moment for you to let go of an old mindset. But ultimately you may sense the future unfolding differently for you. There is an easier way.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)
Full Moons can be especially pivotal for Cancers. They are ruled by the Moon. Rapidly changing moods and the need to feel secure may intensify. Something is culminating and reaching a fever pitch. Exactly what that is may be difficult to define. Something within, deep beneath the surface of consciousness, is shifting making room for a more practical approach to life and your future. It may relate to finding a way to make your current responsibilities work more in your favor. It’s time to tell yourself the truth about what you must do to get where you want to be. It’s time to set your aim in the direction of what your soul craves and what your heart longs for. It’s time to be practical – to make the sacrifices, to do the work, to commit if necessary, and to energize your future by creating better, more practical long term strategies.

LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
Some joyful possibility or culminating experience is on the horizon. It’s related to careful planning, methodical, self-disciplined, mental preparation, envisioning the possibilities, taking all variables into consideration, juggling vast amounts of information, and keeping it all organized. It’s a feat you could not have achieved without the amazing capacity and power of your mind. As the full Moon culminates in your 11th house of dreams, hopes, and wishes, you may feel very satisfied that what was once a dream may now be morphing into into reality. It’s a repeatable experience. Your mind is an incredible tool capable of more than you previously suspected. Your success within several realms of life is cause for celebration and more faith in that power that exists between your ears. To the extent that you can learn more about how to harness the power for your mind I would advise it. It seems you’ve already cultivated the basics.

VIRGO (August 21-September 21)
Venus has moved into your 6th house of work, responsibility, and practical considerations. Virgo is forever in the process of self-improvement. There is an instinctive drive to make yourself better, purer, more useful, and more efficient. As Venus moves into your 6th house the usual interpretation is that your heavy load is lightened in some way. Your responsibilities are less burdensome and you can relax a bit. But there is another possibility. It relates to the development of self-love. Chances are you don’t love yourself enough yet. I can see a project materializing for you along those lines. Between now and Jan 4th, 2017 it would be wise to suspend your usual harsh self-judgement replacing it with kinder, more tolerant thoughts. Most likely harboring unforgiving standards is a deeply ingrained pattern. But you’ve broken bad habits before. You can certainly do it again. Taking actions that feel out-of-character may be necessary. You may have to embark on a painful review of all the times you’ve betrayed yourself because self-love was MIA. Your mission for the next month is to discipline your mind to let go of all the excuses you habitually create to ultimately find yourself undeserving of love.

LIBRA (September 21-October 21)
This full Moon seems to be asking you to make some decisions about your future. You have several choices available to you and the old formula for the future may be losing some of its appeal and meaning. Over the next two weeks if you agree to cooperate with the astrological omens, you will be left with a clean slate. What is the new story you will tell yourself about your future? Hopefully it’s more truthful, encompassing more of your actual potential for a joyful day-to-day existence. Venus’s recent move into your 5th house reminds you that joy comes from friendly surroundings, unusual interests, enlightened ideas, rebelling for the sake of a good cause, and an abundance of love. Ideally you take back what you may have delegated to others – a courageous, adventurous, fighting spirit, and the need for energetic, experimental, free sexual expression. Hopefully your decisions this week move you in the direction of accommodating a free-flowing outpouring of love. Whatever you decide endures long into the future.

SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
Dark Moon Lilith harshly aspects Ceres this week. Health issues may relate to chronic frustration and anger resulting from being repeated forced into a powerless, impotent roles. Dark Moon Lillith can be incredibly destructive when she’s thwarted. Because she currently resides in your 1st solar house, the destruction can be to your physical self. The big picture suggests that it’s time to take practical steps to surround yourself with friendly allies and supportive friends. It’s time to move away from those who make you feel impotent and victimized. If applicable it’s time to move away from an approach where you occasionally render others impotent and victimized. There is the suggestion that a transformative type of magic could take shape under this full Moon changing the nature of your communication in ways that foster warm connections rather than momentary, meaningless, victories. Paradoxically a softer receptivity and friendly cohesiveness restores your power.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)
Culminations that accompany full Moons can be very positive – as in something you’ve worked long and hard for finally coming to fruition. They can also be negative – as in finally getting caught after years of operating as a fast talking scam artist. For you, Sagittarius, the astrological omens are predicting something magnificently marvelous, joyfully expansive, and deeply meaningful. Your life as you now know it will soon,if it hasn’t already, seem small by comparison. If you prefer your life to be small, organized, and predictable, then you could be feeling stressed. But Sagittarians generally don’t prefer that. There are adjustments that need to be made. You’ll have to shift into a higher gear. Your heart may need to expand to absorb all the love and joy that is flowing in your direction. I predict you will not be overwhelmed but instead standing where you were always meant to stand – most likely on a mountain, breathing in an abundance of oxygen, scanning beautiful scenery that seems to go on forever, and feeling incredibly free – if not literally then metaphorically.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
Maybe you don’t need to read this week’s horoscopes to know that isolative tendencies keep you separated from sources of comfort and freedom. It is possible this week that you will connect with another human being in ways that have been previously unattanable. The full Moon influence takes you as far as you can go with the shallow level of conversation and self-revelation you usually insist upon. It’s not getting you where you want to be. But mistrust and vulnerability loom large. Fear of incompetence at deeper levels of revelation may emerge. But it seems you might be motivated to change. Over the past two years you’ve come to know yourself better through some difficult experiences. It is possible that you could share what you now know about yourself that you didn’t used to. It may seem awkward, but you need a practical plan for advancing through deeper levels of self-disclosure. Practice makes perfect. Your ready for a more meaningful life but like everything in your life, you have to work past your fear.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Aquarius is on the verge of an adventure that seems to entail connecting with someone or something incredibly meaningful. Foreign influences may flavor the adventure. This time period seems pre-designed to make you incredible happy in ways that are somewhat unprecedented. There seems to be a settling within you that occurs as a result. You may feel less restless, more at home, more stabilized, more connected to roots that run very deep – more yourself. The impending full Moon in Gemini may highlight your childhood – a creative endeavor, love, family, and uninhibited self-expression. New connections with potential friends and allies assist your expansion into a unique and different kind of future. It looks love-filled, exciting, and emotionally more comfortable.

PISCES (February 21-March 21)
If you sense that you’ve shifted into a powerful magical realm where opportunities for expansion seem endless, but not totally effortless, you’re aligned with current astrological omens. Freeing yourself of old relationship patterns may entail some discomfort, self-discipline, and adjustment, but overall it’s a relatively smooth process to undertake between now and Jan. 4th. Venus in your 12th house instinctively guides you away from insisting on a certain kind of support from the universe. She relaxes you into the most beautiful, beneficial, transcendent design for what will be. You may need to grow more fully and confidently into your wispy, artistic, elusive, boundlessly loving self. That transformation is the trigger that draws your perfect lover to you. Pay attention to the kind of support you seek from others. It may be unnecessary once you learn to provide what you seek for yourself. That, in a nutshell, seems to be your current challenge.
