New Horoscopes for the Week of Mar. 4th – 10th

Mercury retrograding in Pisces continues its “backward” motion. Today he re-enters the sign of Aquarius where he’ll continue to retrograde until next Monday (March 9th). Mercury turns direct on March 9th.

Over the next five days we’ll be taken back to a previous place – a previous conversation, focus, problem, or considerations involving social concerns, acceptance, rejection, or possibly breaking free.

Today Venus moves into the sign of Taurus. Taurus and Librans will feel this change most acutely.

Mercury also sextiles Venus today. An opportunity to escape the confinement that keeps us from attracting what we most desire is presented/clarified. Problem solving attempts receive an assist. Information is presented or perceived from a strange/contradictory angle. We may see a way through or around current “road blocks.”

On Sunday the Sun in Pisces conjuncts Neptune. What’s been energizing a loss, overwhelming our ability to think rationally, or to trust that our actions will be effective intensifies. Alternately we may be set free of something invisible that has stalled our ability to feel (or express) compassion, forgiveness, love, and the innate creative talents we possess.

On Sunday Venus conjuncts Uranus in Taurus. This looks like a break through – the break-up of a stalemate. Something exciting and extraordinary having to do with lasting love or wealth is thrown into the mix. A sudden change in values or priorities materializes. Security or self-preservation is involved. What you own may be worth more than you knew. We may suddenly attract what we’ve wanted for a long time. Finally we feel comfortable settling down, stabilizing, or committing for the long haul.

A full Moon in the sign of Virgo on Monday, March 9th highlights relationships, practical actions, and issues involving health, loss, or sacrifice. Issues of balance and endings come into play. A culmination or “high water mark” is reached. We turn the corner on an emotional focus that has kept us occupied for the past couple weeks. We make a change, balance the scales, or let it go.

I’ll write more on the Virgo full Moon over the weekend.

Thanks as always for reading,

Holly

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
This week Mercury backs into your 11th house of social concerns. It’s possible you could re-unite with old friends, benefit from the support of allies, revisit a previous conversation, feel more connected to life-long dreams, or more comfortable expressing your authentic self within group situations. This week issues involving wounds, old pain, and uncomfortable disruptions encourage you to choose between harboring old fears related to old failures – and moving forward with confidence toward something more promising and satisfying. Pay more attention to your instincts concerning home, family, roots, and the past. Something valuable may be waiting to be discovered there. Venus’s move into your 2nd house brings something exciting or unexpected – a break through in a stagnant situation involving financial stability, ownership, lasting love, feeling more settled within, and committing for the long haul. Maybe your values change in drastic, permanent ways. Whatever the nature of the breakthrough you’re not likely to go back to the way things were. Continue to release what you’ve outgrown.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Today Venus transits out of the bold and passionate sign of Aries into the more settled, calm, appreciative (cherishing) sign of Taurus. Something stabilizes or becomes simpler. A stagnant situation is broken up. A stalemate ends. Something exciting and extraordinary having to do with lasting love (or wealth) is suddenly thrown into the mix. An unexpected permanent change in values or priorities materializes. You might suddenly attract what you’ve longed for or finally be free to stabilize or commit for the long haul. Your wisdom and patience separates you from the crowd. Your influence is profoundly stabilizing.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Mercury backtracks you into a a place you’ve previously been or or toward an idea you’ve previously considered. It likely involves beliefs about mothers, mothering, loss, lineages, and possibly visions for your future that are unorthodox, strange, or “outsider-ish” – but exciting and futuristic just the same. Career and career planning or preparation is a central concern. Something more will be clarified or understood between now and next Monday. Beneath the surface of consciousness something important and fortunate takes place. You might feel a flood of love and support coming from “the collective” that opens the door to a breakthrough. Something you thought would never change suddenly does – permanently. Within the social realm or among friends something old and painful forces a decision to move away from habitual mistrusting responses. The work you’ve done to trust others more may be paying big dividends.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)
This week Mercury retrogrades back into the sign of Aquarius and your 8th house of intimacy, vulnerability, trust, debts, and financial partnerships. Within this particular “field of experience” it’s likely you’ve missing something of significance. A re-visit gives you time to integrate more fully the need to trust in the transformational process – especially with regard to vulnerabilities, financial partnerships, and any situation where you’re challenged to throw your “lot” in with another. A deeper more serious dive into these “8th house issues” gives you the power you need to create magic. Emotionally you might currently be aligning yourself with next Monday’s Virgo full Moon. It highlights straight-forward communication, your beliefs, and the extent to which facts inform your beliefs. Publishing something related to the healing power of love looks promising. A fortunate breakthrough in a stagnant social/group situation you thought might never change unexpectedly does.

LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
This week you may be revisiting something involving a committed relationship – something you missed and need to recover in order to move forward into something deeper and more meaningful. Your power to express compassion, forgiveness, and love is softly but powerfully energized. Financial partnerships and issues related to intimacy can remain confusing and distorted but they don’t have to. This week you’re encouraged to move to a higher level of operation especially if you’ve thrown your entire lot in with another and still find reasons not to trust them. You could be empowered or disempowered this week. It depends on how honest your willing to be with yourself. Venus moves into your 10th house making a public/career breakthrough more likely. On Sunday a stalemate is broken. Something you’ve wanted to attract into your life appears. Something you assumed would take a long time to build doesn’t. An unexpected windfall is possible. Something permanently changes as a result of a change in what you value most.

VIRGO (August 21-Sep 21)

It might relate to your work, health routines, standards, something confining that needs to be freed – something more authentic. Finding a way to integrate more of what you love into daily routines and the work you do needs more consideration. A hesitancy to be more useful and responsive to yourself might relate to a lack of trust in your instincts. Something needs to be more fully integrated or refined for the sake of a committed relationship. Venus moves into your 9th house of opportunity. An exciting breakthrough or sudden change impacts your future direction. What you thought was settled or predetermined wasn’t. A change in beliefs or values changes your life. An foreign opportunity looks exiting. It opens doors you assumed would never open. Love and your creative life stands to benefit from disciplined work you’ve done in the past. An old wound (betrayal) could force your hand in deciding whether to remain cautious or to trust that real love is accessible once you’re accessible. We’re working our way toward a culmination or ending this week.

LIBRA (September 21 – October 21)
Mercury takes you back into the 5th house realm of love and authentic creative self-expression to reconsider something important you’ve missed or have not yet thoroughly worked through. It relates to what you actually want within the realm of love. Issues related to intimacy, trust, and what you own jointly with a partner could deliver some surprising results. What you thought would never change does. Something about how you love, how willing you are to trust another or to take more risk changes your options – permanently. Things will not go back to the way they were. Someone you’re passionately attracted to may unexpectedly arrive on the scene encouraging you to trust that love could be what you want it to be. But you have to know what you want it to be. You may be willing to take more risk or to wield your power and passion in exciting new ways. Your standards and judgements soften to allow more room for compassion and forgiveness.

SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
New information or new connections challenge you to deal with something painful or upsetting within the realm of your daily routines, handling your responsibilities, doing the work, and keeping yourself and others healthy. Venus moves into your 7th house of relationships this week. Something simpler and more settling within committed relationships is likely to emerge. Something unexpected within a status-quo or stagnant relationship situation unexpectedly changes. Your values change and as a result everything changes. Things will probably never go back to the way they were. For you money, success, self-worth, and values may be the central organizing principles within the realm of committed relationships. Home, mothering, and issues involving love and loss may undergo changes as a result of your fundamental relationship shifts. Love in the broadest sense is highlighted in ways that make room for compassion and forgiveness.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)
Revisiting issues related to communication and connections between parents and children seems important. There may be something you missed or failed to respond to the first time the information or opportunity was presented. The change is likely permanent, freeing, and fortunate. You may realize the importance of organization and how it makes you more useful to yourself and others. Financial restrictions may continue to challenge your ability to manifest a dream. But you’re experiencing significant growth as you strive sustain a disciplined, attentive approach to managing your resources.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
Mercury backtracks you through the realm of life pertaining to financial stability, the accumulation of wealth, and what you value most. There is something you missed during Mercury’s first pass through. Now you have the chance to reconsider what’s most valuable to you. Knowing what you value most could move you into a softer, more forgiving, compassionate space with regard to your daily contacts and what you communicate along the course of your day. This week You might be the recipient of an unexpected surprise – something you’ve been striving for is suddenly realized in an unusual or highly creative way. A new love interest steps onto the scene unexpectedly. A stagnant situation is broken through. A change in values is permanent. You will not be going back to the way things were – or the way you were. Your new world opens to the possibility of a more joyful celebration of life. Releasing old restrictive relationship habits may have triggered what seems to be a very fortunate development.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Mercury moves back into your first house of your physical body and your general approach to getting what you want. There’s something you might have missed in this regard. It may be related to the embedded feeling that you’re actually an imposter in your public role – or the fear that you might present yourself in weak, ineffective ways – especially if you’re in a position of authority. You have a couple more weeks to let these old illusions die before a significant new beginning takes hold. Before that happens Venus moves into your 4th house of your home, family, roots, and the source of your security. An unexpected break-through occurs involving a static domestic situation you thought might never change. This could involve the surmising actual worth of your home, your relationship with a family member, a change in values, a simplification or emotional “settling in.” It changes things – permanently. There’s the possibility of a passionate involvement with someone from the past. Something softer, more compassionate, and forgiving enters the realm of financial considerations and self-worth. Debts owed could be forgiven.

PISCES (February 21-March 21)
This week you may be rethinking what needs to dissolve or exit your life. It might be related to social restrictions that keep you locked in and towing a line you don’t want to be towing. There is growth involved in challenging the social status quo. But there’s pain involved as well. This week Venus enters your 3rd house of communication. An unexpected piece of information or news has the potential to break you free of a stagnant, same-old, same-old situation. A new connection or the severing of an old one enhances your opportunity to expand your mind and your reach. This looks empowering with regard to your future and the opportunity to transcend the mundane in search of something more. Elevating your status in the world as a spiritual teacher – or learning from one – seems likely. It is unlikely you will ever go back to the way you were or the way things once were. Expansion and foreign travel changes the nature of what you value most.
