New Horoscopes for the Week of Feb. 20th – 26th

On Monday Chiron re-entered the sign of Aries for the long haul – from now until 2027. Issues that arose last April will be resurrected. We’re challenged to move forward courageously. Initiating something new despite any fear we feel is important. It’s a given that we’ve been wounded, lack self-confidence, or are otherwise handicapped. And it’s a given that we have to find a way to work around that, to push forward, and through your actions to announce “I’m still here and I’m about to make a significant impact.”

The first challenge most likely involves a relationship. Uranus in the final degree of Aries opposes Pallas in the final degree of Libra. It’s the second opposition these two have made, the first being on Feb. 7th of this year.

Uranus has no patience for relationship games and Pallas in Libra wants it all to be nice. Something needs to end. You may be the one who ends a relationship dynamic that has felt too confining or inauthentic. Or you may be surprised that your old patterns in relationships don’t work anymore. Someone is saying goodbye. And someone is most likely shocked by the development. (Uranus is known for his shock value). Because this aspect involves final degrees, it’s unlikely this will ever go back to the way it was..

On Monday the Sun transited into the sign of Pisces – the ending cycle for this year. Pisces is oceanic, compassionate, boundariless, evasive, and prone to dissolve what has outlived it’s usefulness. Pisces lacks definition and morphs into a part of the whole. The coast is cleared for a new beginning. On a practical level it’s time to do some housecleaning – sorting through, throwing out, filling bags to drop off at goodwill, etc

Mercury and Neptune form the first of three conjunctions. The outline of something new takes shape but the details are vague and may initially seem unimportant. Information is developing. It’s time to watch wait, and see. The story will shift a few times before the final word on the matter can be spoken. Details are added gradually through a three-part process. We need more information and we need the details. We’re not there yet.

On Friday February 22nd Mercury in Pisces squares Jupiter in Sagittarius. This is a challenge to recognize that things will appear bigger than they actually are. There’s some exaggeration, hype, genuine enthusiasm, and maybe lots of excitement that feels persuasive and carries us along. But Mercury in Pisces is not as it seems. This project (or whatever it is) will most likely take more time, effort, and attention to detail than originally thought.

The Venus/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on Friday forms a sextile to Mercury. Pluto intensifies relationship, financial, and self-worth issues. What you love undergoes a transformational process. There is something deeper, more enriching, and timeless that exists beneath what appears on the surface. It’s time to unearth the gold or the treasure that lies beneath. There’s nothing flimsy about Capricorn. If your intuition is telling you there’s something more or that something even better exists for the taking, that’s a real possibility. You’ll know in a couple of months.

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Going forward as a wounded soldier, determined to fight the good fight, to demonstrate courage, intitative, and strength of character, is your role for the forseeable future. You need to find a way around fear and old wounds to be able to put your personal, most individualistic stamp on the world. As an Aries you are the most visible embodiement of courage – the one most capable of inspiring others to do what they’re afraid to do. It’s arguably the most important influence for humanity over the next eight years. Not to put too much pressure on you, but through your life’s example your role can be profoundly convincing. If you haven’t yet put an end to a relationship or relationship pattern that needs to end, it’s time to do that. It may also be time to show a quiet kind of courage in acknowledging a personal truth or information you’ve tried to avoid.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Chiron in your 12th house of self-mastery encourages you to courageously address what lies beneath, to pursue a better understanding of yourself, what makes you tick, and the things you do that are compulsive, automatic, or not necessarily within your control. It may be time to ask for the answers you’ve been afraid to know especially if you’re not making the kind of progress you want to make. Hypnosis, psychotherapy, meditation, reflection, alone time, etc., all seem very worthwhile and potent now. There’s the possibility that you will unearth a painful memory that needs to be confronted, dis-empowered, and healed so that your actions can be more more deliberate and the results more predictable. It is time become the master of your domain. Pluto, Venus, and Saturn in your 9th house can make your future feel disappointing if you’re not committed to extracting all you can from relationships that seems capable of more. Anyone incapable of understanding your true worth and value needs to be put on notice.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Something that feels wounding withn the realm of friends, groups, allies, and associates needs to be acknowledged. Something more courageous may involve finding new friends, adjusting your approach and your role, or being more accepting of different methods and a different path to success. There is an opportunity to change an old contract or agreement in favor of terms that are more supportive of you. It is possible you will end a current life direction or quit your job and find something new. Jupiter in your 7th house of relationships may encourage you to expect more from partners or partnerships (or your career) than they can provide. The Venus/Pluto conjunction in your 8th house of fianancial partnerships and intimate connections encourages you to dig for something more honest and deeply enriching. A clarification or re-ordering or your values and priorities may be timely. Something intensely optimistic or expansive needs to be approached with caution. Proceed slowly until more details are filled in.

CANCER (June 21-July)
A break-away event within the realm of relationships (or with the past) opens the door for you to show courage as you assert yourself in a new direction, new career, or leadership role. It’s onward and upward as you pioneer something that’s never been done before in the exactly the way you’ll be doing it. Within the realm of relationships there is the opportunity to actualize a dream. That may involve travel, publishing, teaching, legalities, or more faith in yourself and your future. There may be lots of work involved. But you’re in the process of actualizing a creative and dreamy future. The details have yet to be filled in so it’s important to keep your feet on the ground while aiming high. The Venus/Pluto conjunction in your 7th house of relationships lets you know that there is more, something more enriching or valuable to be had. It is not necessary or advisable to accept less than you’re worth or to tolerate a situation where your true worth and value is underestimated or unappreciated.

LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
Chiron in your 9th house of expansion, travel, opportunity, publishing, and something more open-minded, challenges your willingness to be courageous and open to an adventure. Leo is a fixed (inflexible) sign and sometimes assumes he is entitled to wait until he feels comfortable to move out of his comfort zone. It’s time to push yourself into an adventure or to accept an oppoortunity you can’t necessarily control or to trust that it will work out beautifully – or in the best way for all concerned. Venus/Pluto in your 6th house of work and routine suggests the need for something healthier. A different kind of relationship with your work may be necessary. Letting go of fear, perfectionism, or a hyperawareness of your weaknesses when it comes to performing your job or handling responsibilities is critical. You may be in a financial up-cycle. It’s important to remain grounded as you deal with finances. Jupiter/Mercury makes it easy to spend more than you intended to spend.

VIRGO (August 21-Sep 21)
Chiron in your 8th house of fianancial partnerships – intimacy, trust, sex, death, debt and taxes – may require an unpreecedented courageous approach. Most likely some assertive action needs to be taken as you proceed in a deliberate way to pave the way for the kind of future you desire. Trust issues or issues of betrayal may need to be dealt with in a courageous, confrontative way. The time for compromise may be over. But the opportunity for something you thought was over or destroyed to “rise from the ashes in “stronger than ever form” is a poossibility. Mercury may have to contend with inflated hopes for a solid, stable home, family, or happy domestic partnership. Venus/Pluto in your 5th housee of romance, children, and creative exuberance, wants all or nothing. A failure on anyone’s part to recognize your true worth and value is a deal breaker.

LIBRA (September 21 – October 21)
Libra, the sign of relationship and balance, may be profoundly impacted by relationship disruptions or endings. Whether you’re on the giving or receiving end, your sense of identitiy may be destabilized and in flux. Now is the time to show some real courage in pushing for what you want, saying what needs to be said, refusing to compromise further, or making sure the balance of power within a financial relationship is kept in check. Picking up where you left off last April may be part of the process. Imaginative/ending energy is concentrated in your 6th solar house. It may be time to find a new “home” for the realization of your dreams of wealth, prominence, respect, admiration, and recognition as a creative authority in your field. Providing the public with something substantially nourishing and comforting seems like a promising direction or fulfilling achievement.

SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
Scorpio may be feeling the impact of a relationship ending or serious disruption. A period of disorientation and adjustment may be in progress until mid-August. At that time a solar eclipse in Cancer presents an opportunity to free yourself of the past and to use a relationship experience to create something artistic or of imaginative significance. What is currently required is courage within the realm of self-improvement or within the workplace. It may be time to push back against a work environment that doesn’t allow for imaginative independence. And it may be time to say goodbye to an enviroment that undermines your health or is too restrictive to allow for your work to be intuitively informed or more deeply sourced. At the moment your 5th house of creative self expression is loaded with imaginative energy. It also houses a dream that is likely to manifest sometime after Nov. 8th of this year.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)
Sagittarius may be wary of the missing details involved in an ambitous, exciting, opportunity or project. On balance there may be some fear of being locked into a commitment that ties you down and restricts your freedom to act on what you choose to act on at any given moment. Independence and freedom feels mandatory. It may take some courage to reject a group invitation that could interfere with your individual contribution or the freedom to do what you love most. A relationship ending may feel risky. There’s lots of ending and dissolving energy operating in your chart at the moment. It’s targeted at old foundations (home family, roots). That energy appears to be the source of, or subject of, an imaginative dream that has a good chance of manifesting sometime after Nov. 8th of this year.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
Within the realm of your home, family, roots, and what provides you with a sense of security it’s time for courageous action. Something you love may need to be approached in a new way – or sacrificed. An end point may need to be acknowledged and accommodated. Partners may push for something kinder, gentler, less restrictive, and more nourishing. Fear may be a roadblock. As usual the issues revolve around financial stability, self-worth, net worth, and a clarification of what you value most. The very real possibility of manifesting financial freedom may revolve around your ability to release fear, or to sacrifice what’s comfortable, predictable, and possibly repetitive. The south node urges a fearless approach to a more imaginative life.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Black Moon Lillith in your 1st solar house is prone to extremes and she sees no need to keep things running smoothly – quite the opposite. Aquarius may be challenged to make a courageous statement of truth and to let it be known that a relationship in it’s old form will no longer continue. The time for polite conversation, game playing, and engaging with old patterns will not continue. It is likely that Aquarius will be the instigator of an ending or major change and less likely she will be the receiver of what will most likely come as a “shock.” Mars in Taurus in the 4th house of home and family has been patient or slow to respond for a long time. Actions taken are deliberate and foundationally rooted in an intuitive sense of your own self worth. You may have failed in teaching others how to treat you. It’s probably time to raise the white flag and move on. This is a pivotal, energizing, turning point.
pisces otherworldly
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
The Sun in your first house is a new beginning that may artistically or intellectually energize you to reveal something that’s been hidden. You may be reminded of something you loved and lost or gave up on awhile ago. Your interest may be renewed possibly through a synchronous event or unexpected message. You may feel that you’re getting back on track after a stint in the “wilderness.” There is more substance and possibility than usual involved – excellent potential to turn a dream into reality. Chiron (the wounded healer) in your 2nd house focuses you on the “worth” of things. Acknowledging your self worth and making the needed life/relationship adjustments is most likely an act of courage. Telling the truth about a relationship characterized by too much distance, coldness, or restriction – is a good start.
